Purpose of the Policy.

  •  PassPlus Webline Education is a part of the Hibajene Hamusokwe Group Ltd, a UK registered limited company (see company registration details at the bottom ) and was established for the purpose of providing online education.
  •  PassPlus Webline Education has adopted this safeguarding children policy and expects every adult working with children online to comply with it without any exception. Anyone who ignores to follow this children safeguarding policy is liable to face serious consequences as provided by the law. This applies to all staff and non-staff of whatever job or social status..

  • This policy is intended to protect children and young adults who receive any online services or other services using our platform from harm.
  •  PassPlus Webline Education is firm believer in zero tolerance to abuse or harm to children and young adults and is committed to protect them as set out in the intended policy guidance and principles to all adults who access our platform to help children and young adults. It is designed to guide our objectives and approach to child protection and safeguarding.

Child protection as a universal requirement.

All children ‘s welfare is supposed to be protected from any form of abuse and harm regardless of their race, immigration status, sexual orientation, religious believes, political affiliations, skin colour or tribal grouping. They need to be protected from many acts of harm including, but not limited to;

  • - Sexual abuse
  • - Grooming (physical and/or online)
  • - Physical and emotional abuse and neglect
  • - Domestic violence
  • - Inappropriate supervision by staff or adults
  • - Bullying, cyber bullying, acts of violence and    

              aggression within schools and    

              campuses

  • - Victimisation.
  • - Self-harm
  • - Unsafe environments and activities
  • - Crime and exploitation.

The company takes a serious view on child protection matters and acknowledges that;

  •  the welfare of children is an absolute priority no matter what the circumstances.
  • the right to equal protection is an absolute entitlement to all children regardless of sexual orientation, race, immigration status, religious beliefs, physical or mental disability, age, political affiliations, skin colour or tribal grouping.
  • Some of the children are more susceptible to abuse or harm due to circumstances such as level of dependence, prior experiences, and communication needs .
  •  all adults tasked to work with children are required by law spot any signs of abuse and report the abuse to the person responsible(Safeguarding manager) at the earliest possible time.

 a) All online lesson activities to be supervised by a responsible adult for all students under the age of 18.

b) All students under the age of 18 to be enrolled for online lessons by the responsible adult.

c) No member of shall be allowed to have personal contact details for any student under the age of 18.

d) Only students over the age of 18 will be allowed to enrol themselves for online lessons.

e) Student to report any suspicious potential grooming activity to their parent, guardian, and management.

f) Any tutorial arrangements or requests to be authorised and agreed by both management and parent or guardian.

g) All staff members are required to follow the safeguarding procedure strictly and report any situation they are unsure of to management.

h) Any member of staff breaching the safeguarding procedures will be disciplined according to the dictates of the law .

i) All children attending online lessons to be recorded in the attendance register at the earliest possible time during the lesson.

a) Disclosure and Barring Service.(DBS)

All members of staff recruited to teach under our company are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as required by the safeguarding of vulnerable groups Act 2006.

Recruitment of staff will require an assessment of the potential risks highlighted by the member of staff’s DBS.

b) All safeguarding allegations against any member of staff will be taken seriously, assessed and reviewed appropriately in line with the child protection laws.

c) Any member of staff found to pose a huge risk to children will be dismissed instantly.

Any instances of bullying either by staff or students/ parents will not be tolerated and anyone found bullying will be dealt with accordingly.
